Patient Education
There is an enormous amount of health care information at your fingertips – even with the click of the mouse. An informed and educated patient is one who will be better able to make decisions about their health and follow through with the doctor’s recommendations. In general, I tell patients to be wary of websites that are trying to sell you something and stick with those that are primarily informational. To assist you in the process of becoming more informed, I have compiled a list of websites that provide valuable and up to date information. Of course, my list is not exhaustive. If there are sites that you feel others could benefit from, please submit these to me and I will consider adding them to my list.
Again, the purpose of this is for educating and informing. It is not meant to replace regular visits with your doctor and will not be used to advertise or sell a particular product.
